to Columbus, Ohio. Feather is a
multimedia artist with a focus in
painting, illustration, small scale
sculpture, and craft. He graduated
with a bachelors degree in fine art
from CCAD in 2020.
Feather can be found running his
Folk art shop at local markets and festivals , searching the forest floor for treasure, and identifying every bird that crosses his path.
My work explores the relationship between the natural world and Childhood whimsy. Through foraged materials, reclaimed objects, painting and craft, I aim to reminisce in memories of our childhood wonder in nature.
I hope to remind viewers that we ourselves are interconnected with nature. As we have grown up i fear some of us lose our childhood wonder. Even the many of us who spent time making mud pies and flora potions throughout our childhood. My artwork remains a reminder that we are always those children. From natural pigment, moss to animal remains, i reconstruct the memories of how we started in the natural world. Befriending our local flora and fauna- Where our imagination took us many moons ago, and how we never left.
